Short Bio

Rui Gao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management at McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin. His primary research focuses on data-driven decision-making and Artificial Intelligence. He received a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Mathematical Programming, Mathematics of Operations Research and INFORMS Journal on Computing.
